Good Cake Decorating Course Booked on the course with work .However unable to complete as changed job .Penningtons were able to let me complete the course anyway and it is a very good environment to go to improve skills

Amazing cake school. I first went to Penningtons cake school just over a year ago. I knew next to nothing about cake decorating and lacked confidence in the beginning. With Dawn and Kerry’s fantastic step by step teaching I’ve really learned so much and I can now see improvement. It all started with a modelling cake class, then straight edges and ganache covering, followed by royal icing classes, and a couple of sugar flower classes. My favourite has to be Royal icing swiftly followed by the sugar flowers. In fact I’m already booked on 2 courses for the next school year in September, I can’t wait and will really miss the fab people I’ve met over the course of the year. Things to take to class? An apron, a smile and plenty of enthusiasm for fun while you learn.

Cake decorating Amazing school of cake artistry by dawn Pennington - do a 1-1 or a day class or book several lessons or do a course - you will be amazed at the skills you will learn - it’s all step by step which makes it so much easier - first class tuition from dawn herself and also Kerry - you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve ❤️

Learn new skills whilst having a ball! Attending a Royal Icing Class and a wired flower class too. Run by Dawn, Kerry and Amanda, we have great fun learning our new skills. Help is always on hand if disaster strikes. Recommended.

Best cake school Finding Penningtons Cake school is one of the best things that happened to me. I learned a lot, took royal icing courses, flower course and start your own business course which gave me confidence to start my business and I can still reach out to Dawn if I needed help or advice. Wish I can take all the courses they offer. Love the relaxing atmosphere there and the richness of information and techniques.

Brilliant cake decorating school! Penningtons is an absolutely brilliant place to come if you are looking to widen your cake artistry skills in pretty much any area you could wish for - sugarpaste, royal icing, modelling, chocolate, sugar flowers, wedding cakes....the list goes on. I started with Kerry by doing a few courses at Bournemouth and Poole college many years ago and then discovered Penningtons through an Easter flower course she was running. I’ve since done a number of sugarpaste workshops, royal iced cakes and flower courses. Dawn and the ladies that run it all and teach here are just wonderful. Always willing to help, so lovely and friendly, and easy to talk to and ask (often a million!) questions. Have recommended the courses to a number of friends and can’t wait to get decorating again and get booked onto something exciting in future.

Sugar Roses and Royal Icing course For a long time I have wanted to learn different skills for when I make cakes for family members. I kept putting off finding courses and then relying on internet videos to help me. Having had a one to one session with Dawn at Pennington’s in the past, to decorate my own birthday cake, I continued following her page. It was there that I noticed some courses that interested me. I finally took the plunge recently and thoroughly enjoyed my few hours learning and creating at Pennington’s. I did a two day Sugar Roses course and a two day Introduction to Royal Icing course. The teachers are fab and so friendly and encouraging. The other students at group were friendly too and those that weren’t newbies like me were really helpful. As a beginner you are encouraged from the start and so you feel very welcomed into the family. I’m looking forward to booking myself on to more courses soon!

From complete beginner to advanced decorating I did my first course at Pennington’s last July and had never managed to decorate a cake without it looking as if a 5 year old had been let loose!! But Dawn and her amazing team showed patience and within a few weeks I had skills I would never have believed. I have completed Royal icing, sugar paste, flower making and have enjoyed every moment. Warning though, the classes are addictive as I only intended to do one and am now on my 7th!!! Great teaching, fabulous products and a whole lot of fun. So welcoming and inclusive. Highly recommend
