This is a five week 3D modelling and sugar paste cake covering course. The theme for this course is an autumnal village scene creating a cake using 2D modelling as well as 3 D modelling. A fun, brightly coloured character cake full of great techniques in sugar paste.
Skills covered during the six weeks will be flawless cake covering using sugar paste, 2D and 3D character modelling and many other decorative techniques using modelling paste.
The cake shape and size for this project is 8″ round by 4″ deep, students can make a fruit cake if desired (required marzipaned for week 2) or a sponge cake can be ordered if requested by emailing Dawnan, alternatively a dummy cake can be an option if preferred, available from the school for £8.00.
