This is a five week modelling and cake covering course. The theme for this course is a cheerful, Spring Beatrix Potter tribute. Models will be created from modelling paste to create an adorable cake with some of her best loved characters.
Skills covered during the five weeks will be flawless cake covering using sugar paste, 2D and 3D modelling and many other decorative techniques using modelling paste.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY MAY 6th, THEREFORE THE CLASS TIMES HAVE BEEN EXTENDED BY THIRTY MINUTES SO COURSE HOURS ARE EQUIVALENT TO SIX WEEKS, FIFTEEN HOURS.
The project shape is 8″ round cake by 4″ deep, students can make a fruit cake if desired (required marzipaned for week 2), a sponge cake can be ordered from the school but please email to place your order in advance at dawn@cakeschool.co.uk or a dummy cake can be an option if preferred, available from the school for £8.00.
