November Thursday Evening – Santa Playing the Piano

This is a six week modelling and cake covering course. The theme for this course is a Christmas theme.

The cake is a 8″ square fruit cake base (student to supply) with a jolly Santa playing a piano and his happy elves wrapping pressies and singing along.  The teaching focuses on modelling figures, with character features, making the piano out of pastillage, plus many more decorative techniques in sugar paste to complete this delightful, festive project.

Skills covered during the six weeks will be cake covering using sugar paste, making and working with pastillage, 3D character modelling and decorative techniques using modelling paste.

The project is on 8″ square fruit cake depth 4″ approx students own fruit cake (required week 2) or a  dummy cake can be an option if preferred, available from the school.
